100% OF INDIVIUAL FUNDRAISING GOES TO THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES

Slideshows

Education for Children in Need volunteers have been working in the village of Maru, Romania for almost two years. Over this time we have built up a trusting relationship with the villagers both Romanian and Roma and their children. We have given hope to many families and given them incentive to better their lives through education. We have worked extensivly in the school to help teacher learn different teaching techniques and provided equipment for the school and kindergarten, including a rapidly growing library. We have run Art weeks to encourage creativity and Summer Camps, not only to give the parents some restbite but more importantly to encourage and teach the children the all important social skills needed to help them through their lives. We also had an opportunity to bring a group of children over to Bath, England last Christmas. This was such a positive experience for the children that we hope to arrange another trip next year. We have provide clothes, school equipment and food parcels to many families in most need but in particular.. showing them somebody cares.

Our mission is not only to help out in Romania but also to encourage young people from the UK (and recently europe) to have a worthwhile and safe experience volunteering with us. Last year 28 volunteers organised, funded and ran many projects in the the village. 21 of these hope to make it back next year

none of this would have been achieved without our volunteers and our continual support of all our fundraisers who work so hard to change the lives of children living in poverty. Please help in any way you can to give Romania's children hope for the future.
